Hi! I’m Jen. Thanks for being here.
A number of years ago (9, to be exact), I found myself not feeling my best physically, and working in a corporate job that wasn’t exactly filling my soul with a sense of purpose. Knowing something had to change, I started down a path of healing & personal growth (a path that has no end, as I would later come to learn).
A couple of years later, armed with a newfound appreciation and respect for the healing power of nutrition, I decided that it was time for a career change and I went back to school to study holistic nutrition.
After graduation, I started a food-based product business, provided 1-on-1 nutrition consulting, facilitated group events, and then found myself working in an integrative clinic. That is when I had a realization...
I loved wellness. Everything about it. I loved reading the books, learning the concepts, making myself the guinea pig for every new thing. I was passionate about it.
But I had lost the desire to make that passion my job.
I quickly realized that I was actually falling in love with the business of wellness.
Maybe it was me heading back to my career roots. Or perhaps it was me leaning in to my true analytical, type-A nature. Regardless, I knew that I had found my sweet spot.
I recognized the joy that I felt within the day-to-day operations of running a business, and I began to acknowledge the satisfaction I felt from organized finances & a solid strategic plan. Yes, seriously. I love this stuff!
At that time, I was surrounded by the most amazing practitioners, healers, and wellness experts. They each had a type of magic that they were bringing to the world, and I saw how life-changing their offerings could be.
And that is when it became my mission to support them, and others like them, on their path.
If you want to learn more about my services, head over to my bookkeeping and practice management pages.
But enough about work - let’s dive in to 5 random facts about me…
I have a 3 year old Mini Australian Shepherd named Kevin. He’s not actually that mini, but he is a very good boy (the best, in fact).
My guilty pleasures include The Bachelor, suspense novels, french fries, and dark chocolate (daily).
It’s literally impossible for me to visit a library, a bookstore, or even walk by a Little Free Library in Calgary without coming home with a new book.
My 2024 goals include becoming a pro at pickleball and SUPing... but if we’re being honest, I’ll settle for “pretty good”.
I’m a Gemini sun, Cancer moon, and Leo rising. I’m still learning what that all means, but I know enough to understand how…. complex?… this combination makes me.
